"Mountain
Man Juggles
His Way Around Globe"
- Gail Cohen,
THE NORDICS
He calls himself The
Mad Mountain Juggler., and he's at the Nordics in Thunder Bay, Canada,
to entertain.
He skis downhill and juggles fiery torches at
the same time. John Flower will perform his schtick during a pre-event
show on the outrun of the 120 metre jump, on Thursday night. The Cleveland,
Ohio native started his career entertaining in the lift lines at resorts
in Colorado. His repetoire grew to include juggling torches and skiing
at the same time, during the resorts torchlite parades. During summer
festivals, John juggles while roller-blading. Johns travels have taken
him from Calgary to Norway for the Winter Olympic Games, and the Summer
Games in Atlanta. |
"Local
Man Juggles
His Way to Olympics"
-
Barbara Christian,
CHAGRIN VALLEY TIMES
John
Flower has returned to his home in Chagrin falls from the Olympics
in Norway, where he treated crowds with his unique act - juggling
the five Olympic rings while reciting the names of 66 nations and
3 territories taking part in the Winter games. John also did his juggling
act during the Winter games in Calgary, Canada. His performance this
time around was at Birkebeiner Stuene, where a large cross country
ski event was held to celebrate the story of Norways skiing heroes
who saved the prince by shooshing him to safety. John is already looking
forward to the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Japan, Australia, and beyond...

"Aurora
Juggler Plans to Entertain Refugees"
- Denise Dufala,
THE PLAIN DEALER
A professional juggler from
Aurora, Ohio, wants to be the Bob Hope of the refugee camps for ethnic
Albanians staying in the United States. John Flower says he was listening
to National Public Radio when he got the idea. "They had a report
that there wasn't too much entertainment for the refugees at the camp
in Fort Dix, and I thought it would be nice to share what I do with
them." said John. He will make the trip by car, and is in the
process of raising money to buy juggling equipment for the refugees.
Flower, who has been juggling for 24 years, performs regularly at
local parties and events. |
